Maps!

I thought we could do another of these threads, as not much is up and the last time was quite a few subpatches ago... Just write anything concerning the ladder maps: What you like/don't like about what map, what's imba on what map, which maps you thumbs down, etc, etc..



I'll start of with a some stuff, it's in no way everything one could say about these maps, just a few things that came to my mind first.



Twisted Meadows (TM):

- Overall a rather balanced map and certainly one of the best on b.net.

- Humans often creep the goblin lab next to their base with militia, it's a good place to go when DH harassing or something.

- There are lots of good items on this map, creep depending on what you want: For example, if you have a Blademaster, you might want to creep all the three-gnoll-camps to get 2-3 claws of attack, and then goblin labs to get +6 agi items, vampire aura or similar; with UD or NE, shops and goblin labs are cool because they might drop trueshot aura; etc.

- The creeps are also very easy to creep, apart from the Red corner spots. The three-gnoll-camps can be crept easily by a solo DK with rod of necromancy, and with 2-3 fiends he can also do the shops. So creep fast, you won't need to go home to heal or anything normally.

Terenas Stand (TS):

- Merc abuse got nerfed, sadly.

- Don't underestimate the creeps at the orange gold mine, it's rather hard to creep before t2.

- There's LS at the shops if you're up against humans.

agreed about TM i really like it, and its not imba for any particular race. Gnoll wood is ok imo despite many people saying it needs nerf. LT i think is fine I dont care what people say about bm abusing trolls in the middle and it being imba for orc. Its fine imo.

Terenas stand got the nerf it deserved. I dont like the map generally though. Its too small and too simple. :/

overall echo and TM are my fav maps =O|||Phantom Grove = mass expands 4 me :>|||yeah, phantom grove is mass expo goodness. But especially for Stenis cuz he's human... The creeps aren't very good though.
