How to use hero's?(human)

Hey guys,

I am using humans for now and i find that i always lose when it comes to hero's and using them.

The only way to level them is via combat right? example green and yellow spots... correct?

What spells should i focus on with human hero's and can you give me some pointers with them.

thanks.|||Hero's gain Experience everytime a unit in your army kills an enemy unit(whether those are the neutral creep spots or an enemy army) something. You can gain them exp even when they aren't in the middle of combat.

Also note those green/yellow/red spots only gain you exp till level 5.



As for hero's.

I find this way to work. With the Archmage Water elementals[first] and Brilliance Aura[second] are always my preferences early on. Water elementals are fairly good for creeping early on, and Brilliance Aura can aid your other hero's abilities.

As for the Mountian King I like his Storm Bolt ability first with bash second. And of course pick up Avatar as soon as you can. I tend to find he doesn't have enough MP to make good use of both Storm Bolt and Thunder Clap effectively.

The Blood Mage I avoid. He surely has his uses but I don't much like him.

The Paladin is fun. All three of his early abilities have good use and even his utlimate is quite useful. Devotion Aura and Holy Light are nice if you plan to creep with a footman army. And Divine Shield can be useful if the paladin wishes to creep alone. Or for getting out of any battle that goes bad and you don't want to use your TP(or don't have one becuase you already used it and didn't buy another). Or for buying some extra time for your hero(so you can use a potion perhaps?).|||devotion lalra|||humans have the best heros when used together. one thing i'd like to add you use the blood mage to banish a hero which makes him take extra damage from spells and then you storm bolt. its devestating. its even better when the enemy is undead and you can holy light his hero with those 3 spells it practictly an instant kill. The bloodmage is way underplayed his spells are awesome and the phenoix just rocks.|||he was used when flamestrike had no limit cap.|||I think the best hero combi's are from UD, the DK with the DL and the CL are an really nice hero combi (imo + the DL ulti is the best in the game imo) anyway, for human archmage is very good with his water elementals...|||I always get the arcmage due to his aura. Its so great when you go magic. Also he helps spells like storm bolt|||^no wai|||I like Banish. It cuts down the other guy's army in half when you're fighting and lets you take them out in smaller portions. I usually Banish the strong melee fighters, which leaves their ranged fighters to the mercies of my own melee. Then after that the leftovers are easy to clean up.

Someone tried massing Frost Wyrms, which was hilarious, since so much power is packed into a single unit. That made Banish absolutely brutal.|||then i use dispell, and u wasted every ****ing piece of mana wit that.

Bloodlust, Inner Sight, etc. That doesn't mean you wouldn't use them.|||Also You'd have to have a unit that can dispel magic or your screwed for at least until you can get magic and by then you may have already lost or are to far behind to catch up.|||lol :DDDDDDDDddd |||Banish can actually come in handy quite often, and mana drain is better support for an mk than brill aura is. It doesn't work all that well at higher level but it's more or less viable all the same. I believe Cho'Gal has played around with it too btw.|||go bloodmage with 2 footies banish as first abil then depending on map u might go yellow creep spot constantly banish strognest creep while taking out the lower creeps then once its only one left clean up, as second abil go for mana siphon to take and give mana which comes in handy while creeping once u hit lvl 5 guy tome of retrain and change abils to lvl 3 flame strike and lvl 2 banish or mana which doesnt really matter second hero choice should be archmage with brilliance first then element second skip mass tele if ur not going to be using it alot and max out ur second abil first then get it at lvl 7 if u get a third hero depending on what you plan to do if u want to use more weak units with lower hp like casters and stuff just for support during team play go pally with devotion/light or vise versa but if your playing a more meat tank role go for mk with bolt+bash with avatar if your sending him in the front line or more effectively send him in after troops in case ur vsing noobs with no micro and who let their army auto attack so u can avoid dmg from auto aggression but if u get clap which is pretty much useless compared to storm bolt and bash besides you wont have enough mana anyways but if you want to go bolt+clap this is where blood mage and archmage come in since brilliance should be at a decent level your bloodmage should have mana to give to your mk giving you the opportunity to use clap and storm bolt without losing all your mana since your bloodmage is siphoning its mana to your mk while its mana is still being recovered at a quick pace since it is an intel based hero + brilliance aura.when u play hu all heroes can compliment each other...well i dont know if all this is the best advice but i like the way it works so best of luck
